where every little step is a big step in learning.
Welcome to Learning Steps Childcare Centre,
Every big journey begins with a single step.
At Learning Steps, we make those first steps count.
We are a nurturing early-learning community where curiosity is encouraged, imaginations flourish, and children develop a lifelong love for learning. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll feel the warmth and care that defines our centre , a place where every child feels seen, valued and supported to grow at their own pace.
Our programmes are guided by Te Whāriki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, ensuring that your child’s learning is holistic, empowering and deeply connected to their world. Whether your little one is just beginning to explore or preparing for school, we provide the right balance of care, structure and play to help them thrive.
Our Programs
Math’s
Our maths programme builds early numeracy through play and discovery. Tamariki explore counting, patterns, shapes and problem solving in fun, hands-on ways that make learning meaningful and enjoyable.
Baking/Cooking
Our baking and cooking experiences let tamariki explore measuring, mixing and tasting while learning practical life skills. These activities encourage teamwork, creativity and confidence through fun, hands-on learning.
Construction/Art
Our construction and art programme inspires creativity and problem solving. Tamariki design, build and create using a variety of materials, developing fine motor skills, imagination and confidence through expressive, hands-on learning.
